Rising Sun Community Center Park

Welcome to the Rising Sun Community Center Park! The Rising Sun Community Center Park includes our recreation offices and an indoor facility with a capacity of 200. This 17.5-acre community park includes many things such as two little league baseball/softball fields, natural grass multipurpose fields, 4 tennis courts, pavilion, playground, fishing pond, and a half-mile paved walking trail named the "Tiger Trail".

The park is open from dusk until dawn. Our Parks and Recreation office hours are M-F from 8:00 am until 4:30 pm.

Rental Information:

• The Great Room at the Cecil Community Center comes equipped with tables, chairs, refrigerator/freezer, and sink. The room is available for parties, meetings and other special events on Saturdays from 1 pm to 10 pm and Sundays from 9 am to 10 pm. The rental fee is $30 per hour with a minimum of 2 hours. A completed Facility Request Application along with a $40 non-refundable deposit is required to hold a reservation. On the day of your rental, a $100 security deposit is also required. To reserve the Cecil Community Center, call (410) 656-5125 to check availability as many holidays and summer months are not available for rental. Do not mail in cash with your application. You will be notified upon approval and asked to remit payment at that time.

***The Cecil Community Center has started taking reservations starting on April 3, 2021, with a capacity of 50 persons per rental, temperature screening upon entry, and face masks worn except when eating or drinking. ***

• You must obtain a permit from Cecil County to utilize the ballfields.
• Pavilions and ballfields can be rented out for birthday parties and family reunions.
