This 234-acre regional park stretches for 2.5 miles along the west shore of Vancouver Lake. With 35 developed acres of parkland, visitors can enjoy picnicking and sand volleyball. Swimming is allowed inside a roped off area of the lake next to a sandy beach, but there are no lifeguards on duty.

The lake is ideal for kayaking and canoeing, even hosting many rowing competitions during the year. If you plan to participate in some water activities, be sure to check the current water quality beforehand. For nature enthusiasts, the park is also a scenic location for bird and wildlife viewing with sights of Mount Hood, Mount St. Helens, and Mount Adams on clear days. With 65 picnic tables and an overabundance of natural landscape, you’re sure to find a nice patch for spacious picnicking at Vancouver Lake. In the fall, the park becomes vibrant with autumn hues from the shores of the lake to wooded trails off the beaten path for those picture-perfect moments.
