Conceived in 1997, there was several years of planning before actually breaking ground. The Capital Area Soccer Complex was opened for play in the fall of 2002 after three long years of construction by a relatively small group of people and their children, often working by the headlights of their vehicles as the dark of the evening approached, and with a very modest budget.
In 2018, we renamed the complex to Capital Area Sports Complex. Today, we proudly feature our four Olympic-sized soccer fields, which are used by regional youth for both soccer and lacrosse.
