College of Charleston

The College of Charleston is a public liberal arts college in Charleston, South Carolina. Founded in 1770 and chartered in 1785, it is the oldest college in South Carolina, the 13th oldest institution of higher learning in the United States, and the oldest municipal college in the country.

For the more than 300 student-athletes that make up the College of Charleston’s 19 varsity sports teams, each season is a promise of great things: the thrill of competition, the transformation of pain and hard work into success and glory – the kind of glory you only feel after sinking that 30-foot putt, crushing a kick into the back of the net, stroking a cross-court winner, connecting for a walk-off home run or draining a buzzer-beating three.

Our teams are in the pursuit of greatness – of claiming more conference championships, of playing in more national tournaments, of reaching the Big Dance and the College World Series and winning more national titles.
