About Radford University

The Dedmon Center, a versatile athletic complex on the campus of Radford University, recently underwent a multi-million dollar facelift, which makes it one of the premiere collegiate athletic facilities in the Big South Conference and Mid-Atlantic region. The Radford University men's and women's basketball, and volleyball teams call the main arena of the Dedmon Center home. The complex features several adjoining facilities, including intramural soccer, football and softball fields and intercollegiate fields and courts for baseball, softball, field hockey and tennis. In addition Patrick D. Cupp Stadium adds a intercollegiate soccer and track and field complex.

Patrick D. Cupp Memorial Stadium was completed in 2003 and quickly became one of the premier soccer, lacrosse and track and field stadiums in the Southeast. The largest soccer/lacrosse/track facility in the Big South Conference, Cupp Stadium has seating for 5,000 spectators. The soccer/lacrosse surface is a Bermuda blend natural grass field. A state-of-the-art drainage system was recently added to assist in keeping the field in top shape year-round. The track is a synthetic surface divided into eight lanes. The stadium also includes jumping and vaulting pits.

The facilities for baseball and softball are state of the art, and include brand new fields and an indoor batting facility that is a game changer for the Radford programs and all who use them.
