About Shrine on Airline

The Shrine on Airline campus, located in the suburbs of New Orleans is a multi-use complex with the ability to host a multitude of events ranging in various scope and size including festivals, drive-in shows, consumer events, movie production events, large-scale concerts, community and hospitality events, and professional and non-professional sporting events such as rugby matches, soccer matches, high school football games, and more.

The facility first opened its doors on April 11, 1997. Originally known as Zephyr Field, The Shrine on Airline was the home to the AAA New Orleans Zephrys (later re-named the Baby Cakes) and is now the home of the NOLA Gold rugby team.

The stadium itself features nearly 10,000 fixed seats, sixteen premium suites (including two VIP’s) and Party Shack hospitality space with adjacent playground equipment in addition to adjacent grass spaces and easily accessible entrances. Our five parking lots feature more than 750,000 square feet and 2,100 parking spaces ultimately provide a “blank canvas of sorts” for promoters and event organizers.

The mission of The Shrine on Airline and it’s managing partner ASM Global (New Orleans) is to provide a high-quality facility and campus that produces first-rate events, facilitates economic growth and fosters community connections.
