About Anderson Park and Soccer Complex

The park features the K-9 Korner Dog Park, as well as a concrete skatepark, playground, picnic areas, baseball and soccer fields, public swimming pool, splash pad area, and fishing pond.

The concrete skatepark is about 11,000 square feet. It’s free to use, and available from dawn to dusk. Skateboards, scooters, roller blades, and bikes are welcome. Features include quarter pipes, spine ramp into a half pipe, raised ledge, stair rails, stair jumps, benches, manual pads, slanted grind ledges, and more.

A lightning detector is in operation at this location from early April through October. An alert will sound and flash when conditions are right for lightning strikes within a 2.5 mile radius of the detector. The first alert is a 15-second horn blast and at the same time an orange strobe on the top will begin to flash. Once conditions become safe, the strobe will turn off and a series of five-second horn bursts will be made to give an all clear. The detector operates from 8 a.m. to 9 p.m. Located at five parks in the City of Kenosha, these detectors are meant to warn of the possibility of lightning in the area for those using the park facilities and are not severe weather warning devices for the surrounding area.
