About Frankfort Public Beach and Playground

The Frankfort Public Beach and Playground provides public Lake Michigan access at the west end of Main Street in downtown Frankfort. This soft sand beach is a well-used space that attracts many visitors. Benches provide accessible seating options, and ADA walkways allow access to the beach. Public restrooms are available. The main focal point of this park, and perhaps the entire town, are the twin piers and lighthouse that extend into Lake Michigan and create Frankfort Harbor.
