The versatile ballpark is home to the Houston Astros and has hosted the home games in three World Series (2005, 2017, 2019) and the 2004 MLB All-Star Game. Minute Maid hosts the annual Houston College Classic in February which features the University of Houston and Rice University teams against top teams from the Big 12 and other top programs from around the nation including SEC member Texas A&M. While primarily a baseball venue, it has hosted cricket matches, the WWE’s Royal Rumble, boxing matches and numerous concerts including Jimmy Buffet, Paul McCartney, Taylor Swift, Beyoncé and Jay-Z, and The Eagles. Minute Maid also hosted the 2006 CONCACAF Champions prior to the opening of BBVA Stadium in 2012.
