The National Collegiate Water Ski Association (NCWSA) National Championships is the premier annual competitive event for collegiate water skiing in the United States. Established in 1979, the event brings together the nation's top collegiate teams to compete for national titles in a festival-like atmosphere.

This 3-day event at Bell Aqua Lakes will include 24 teams with each team comprised of 5 females and 5 males competing in the three core event disciplines of slalom, tricks, and jump.

2026 National Collegiate Water Ski Association National Championships

The home of the Sac City Panthers football team, along with women's soccer and track and field teams, Hughes Stadium was built in 1928 and officially named after Charles C. Hughes (the first superintendent of the Sacramento Unified School District) in 1944.

Historic Hughes Stadium has hosted several football bowl games, including the Camellia Bowl from 1961 to 1980, the Capital Shrine Bowl, the Pig Bowl, Holy Bowl and the Causeway Classic.  

In 2012, a state-of-the-art synthetic playing surface was installed, along with a new track surface, refurbushment of the facilities and stadium lights, a new press box, sound system, and a video scoreboard.
