Golf Course
Alamance Country Club's Golf Course was opened in 1948. The Club has hosted a number of prestigious golf events. Some of them include: The North Carolina State Amateur Championship which was hosted in 1983 and 1991, CGA Mid-Amateur Championship in 1992 and 2004, NAIA National College Championship in 1982, The Carolinas/Virginia Team Masters hosted in 2001 and U.S. Open Qualifying which has been hosted on many occasions. Every Thursday, March through October the Ladies Golf Association hosts an event. The Junior golfers are always encouraged at Alamance Country Club through camps, clinics and private lessons, and culminate at the end of the summer with a Junior Club Championship.
