About Tom Adams Field

The field has been the home of the football team since 1968. Prior to that, the football team practiced and played at Tartar Field across I-94, which has since been converted into urban housing. Prior to that, the football team played at Keyworth Stadium in Hamtramck. The current field was named after Tom Adams (former Board of Governor and Chief Executive of Campbell-Ewald and contributor to WSU athletics) on October 11, 2003. Adams, who was a fighter pilot in World War II, passed away in 2005.
