Gary Shell Cross City Trail

Enjoy this 15-mile primarily off-road, multi-use trail providing bicycle and pedestrian access to numerous recreational, cultural and educational destinations in Wilmington. The Gary Shell Cross-City Trail provides a bicycle and pedestrian connection from Wade Park, Halyburton Park and Empie Park to the Heide-Trask Drawbridge at the Intracoastal Waterway. At the bridge a new lookout station gives a picturesque view of the Intercoastal Waterway, and a new underpass under the bridge allows street crossing.
