Mount Umunhum, in the Sierra Azul range, is one of the highest peaks in the Santa Cruz Mountains at an elevation of 3,486 feet. From its spectacular summit, visitors can experience 360-degree views from the Pacific Ocean all the way to the Sierra Nevada. 

This Open Space destination also offers a rich nature experience that is accessible to visitors of all abilities, and provides unique opportunities to learn about the Native American community at the Ceremonial Space, discover the military history at the iconic radar tower which was once a key part of the west coast’s missile defense system, hike the trails covered with tiny rock garden flowers and towering pines, or find your favorite vista from the East Summit Viewpoint.
