The 2026 Turtlebox Bassmaster Open at Upper Mississippi River presented by Battery Tender out of La Crosse, Wis., June 18-20, offering unique and plentiful fishing options.  Anglers will navigate backwaters, wing dams and current-driven main-river channels, where shallow-water power fishing and adaptability are often the keys to success.

The Turtlebox Bassmaster Opens is a series of tournaments that tier up to the Bassmaster Classic and the Bassmaster Elite Series. It is divided into two divisions with four tournaments in each division.

2026 Bassmaster Open

The B.A.S.S. High School Combine is a three‑day event where high school anglers from across the country come together to showcase their fishing skills, compete in various on‑the‑water challenges, and connect directly with college fishing coaches. It’s designed to give students a chance to demonstrate their casting, technical, and overall fishing abilities in front of schools that offer bass fishing scholarships, with opportunities for “second look” evaluations and recruitment conversations. The Combine also includes skills tests and a point‑based competition to determine top performers, all set against the backdrop of Wheeler Lake in Decatur, Ala. — making it both a competitive and career‑building experience for young anglers looking to take their sport to the next level in college
