National Council of Youth Sports

NCYS is a national nonprofit organization representing the youth sports ecosystem. Collectively, youth sports organizations aXiliated with NCYS serve some 60M youth registered into sports. NCYS works with national governing bodies, local and national youth sports organizations, health and safety experts, insurers, and policymakers to advance evidence-based standards, education, and risk-management practices that protect young athletes and strengthen community-based sports. For more than two decades, NCYS has supported the adoption of background screening, coach education, and safety best practices, and serves as a trusted convener for cross-sector initiatives addressing safety, access, and long-term sustainability in sports.
