About Boston Pride Hockey
Boston Pride Hockey provides a safe and welcoming environment for LGBTQ+ persons to learn, enjoy and compete in the sport they love.
Mission statement
BPH was founded in 1989 as New England’s first LGBTQ+ hockey club with a small group of players who wanted to play in the Vancouver Gay Games. Over the next 32 years, BPH developed an inclusive community that provides a safe and welcoming environment for people to learn, enjoy, and compete in the sport they love.
BPH has participated in countless LGBTQ+ tournaments and friendship series—and captured 4 Gold Medals at the Gay Games in Amsterdam, Sydney, Chicago and Paris.
Today, BPH’s 100+ active members continue the legacy of those who came before us.
