The Innovators Summit by Playeasy & Compass is a 3-day, in-person gathering designed to bring together the leaders shaping the future of sports tourism, destination marketing, and event experiences. More than a traditional conference, the Innovators Summit is a collaborative working environment where destinations, event organizers, and industry partners come together to share ideas, test new technology, and actively influence what comes next for the industry.

Built at the intersection of innovation and real-world application, the Summit delivers a highly interactive experience blending thought leadership, hands-on product engagement, and peer-driven collaboration. Attendees don’t just learn — they contribute, providing direct input that shapes the evolution of Playeasy & Compass technology and the broader destination ecosystem.

A Unique Value for the Host Destination The Innovators Summit is purpose-built to attract event organizers — the decision-makers who select host cities for tournaments, championships, and large-scale sporting events. For the 2027 host destination, this is a meaningful opportunity: attendees include active event organizers who are evaluating locations, building relationships, and looking for their next venue. The Summit includes a structured familiarization tour, developed in partnership with the host destination, giving event organizers a firsthand look at your venues, infrastructure, and community assets — the kind of access that directly influences future event placement decisions.

What We’re Looking For in a Host We are seeking a 2027 host destination that is not only capable of delivering a seamless event but also eager to serve as a true partner in building the experience. The ideal host will embrace the Summit’s core mission — pushing the industry forward through innovation, collaboration, and a shared commitment to enhancing the visitor experience. This includes a willingness to actively engage with and implement Playeasy & Compass technology, contribute ideas, and help bring the Summit to life in a way that reflects your destination's unique identity.

While accessibility, venue quality, and infrastructure remain essential, equal weight is placed on creativity, partnership, and the ability to deliver memorable, immersive experiences both inside and outside of scheduled programming — from curated networking to showcasing local businesses and community assets that leave a lasting impression on event organizers and industry leaders alike.

The Bigger Picture The Innovators Summit is where industry leaders come to connect, collaborate, and co-create the future. The 2027 host destination will be an extension of the Playeasy & Compass team — helping deliver an event that not only brings people together, but drives meaningful progress across the sports tourism and destination marketing landscape, while generating real, lasting value for your community.

In total, we will need access to the facility for four days, ideally from Monday through Thursday. Our team will arrive on the first day to begin setup and continue preparations through the next morning. The conference will officially open the first evening with a kickoff event at the main venue. The second day will feature a full day of content, followed by an off-site evening activity and the option for a late-night outing. On the third day, programming will conclude with a day of Compass and Playeasy tracks, with the option of an evening outing such as a sporting or cultural event. Teardown will take place on the final afternoon. When considering availability, please avoid all bank holidays.
