2029 USA Powerlifting Nationals-RFP

The USA Powerlifting National Championships represent the pinnacle of drug-tested powerlifting competition in the United States, bringing together the nation's top athletes across multiple age divisions and disciplines. National Championships will feature three premier events held as part of one championship experience:

• Raw Nationals – Full power (squat, bench press, and deadlift) for Youth, Teen, Junior, Open, and Masters athletes.
• Bench Press Nationals – Raw and Equipped Bench Press Championships for Youth, Teen, Junior, Open, and Masters athletes.
• Equipped Nationals – Equipped Full Power Championships for Teen, Junior, Open, and Masters athletes.

Collectively, these championships attract hundreds of the country's strongest athletes competing across numerous weight classes and age divisions. The events are conducted under USA Powerlifting's rigorous technical standards, with certified referees ensuring fair competition, athlete safety, and consistent application of the rules.

The National Championships serve as the primary pathway for athletes seeking selection to represent USA Powerlifting on international teams while celebrating excellence, sportsmanship, and the continued growth of drug-tested powerlifting throughout the United States.

We need an open venue space that is approximately 30-50k sq ft. No specific flooring needed as we bring in our competition platforms. We will need 5-7 additional breakout rooms that will be large enough for ~25-50 people for weigh ins, equipment check, doping control, staff space, etc. We bring in a tractor trailer with our equipment so a loading dock is necessary. We will also need 2 breakout rooms secured for the Monday following the event for our NGB meeting. Each space will need to be large enough for 100 people. One room will be used for the meeting and will need AV and internet, the other room will need to be serviceable for breakfast and lunch needs. We need 2 setup days (Sunday and Monday) and 6 competition days. We load out on the last day.

Looking for a date in June of 2029. Full production of event takes roughly a week for full set up and breakdown, with our National Governing Body meeting being held the Monday following the main event in one- two of the Breakout Room spaces servicing approximately 100-150 people.
