The 8th annual WNFC Championship Weekend is the pinnacle of women's tackle football in America — the championship game of the Women's National Football Conference, a 16-team professional league with 1,000+ athletes competing across the country. The championship game airs nationally on ESPN2, where it has been the #1 watched program on ESPN2 two years running, and the weekend reached 25 million people in 2026: 1.35 million TV and streaming viewers, 18.5 million social media views, 100+ media mentions in seven days, and coverage from ESPN, Good Morning America, Fox, ABC, Yahoo, SBNation, CW, and NPR. Whichever city hosts Championship Weekend is named in every one of those broadcasts, posts, and stories.
Championship Weekend is a full multi-day festival of women's football, anchored by two marquee competitions. The professional tackle championship crowns the WNFC champion on national television. Alongside it, the adidas Varsity Top 100 Tournament brings the top 100 varsity girls flag football players in the country to the host city — the premier showcase in the fastest-growing high school sport in America, drawing elite athletes, their families, and college recruiters from every region. Hosting this tournament puts your city at the center of the girls flag movement at the exact moment it's exploding toward the 2028 Olympics.
The weekend's programming extends well beyond the fields and into the host hotel, which serves as the hub of Championship Weekend: the Championship Breakfast honoring the league's athletes and award winners, official parties and evening events, team meetings, media availability, and partner hospitality. Players, families, coaches, recruiters, media, and executives from all 16 league markets stay, dine, and celebrate under one roof — generating 200–300 room nights and concentrated food, beverage, and event spend for the host property. Fan festival activations from our national partners — adidas, Dove, and Riddell among the league's 16 official sponsors and partners — and community programming through our Got Her Back youth initiative, which engaged 3,500 girls this season, round out a weekend built for 5,000 attendees.
The WNFC is one of the fastest-growing properties in women's sports. This season the league drew 32,442 fans across 53 games, generated over 1.4 million live viewers and 150 million social media impressions, and grew its Instagram audience by more than 500%. Our regular season streams on Victory+, our championship airs on ESPN2, and our fanbase — roughly 70% women ages 22–45 — is one of the most sought-after and underserved audiences in sports.
For a host city, Championship Weekend is an opportunity to attach your market to the defining moment in women's football each year: national broadcast exposure, hotel and restaurant spend from a traveling multi-market audience, elite youth talent and recruiters in your market, Fortune 500 brand activations on your ground, and the story of being the city where women's football crowns its champion. We are seeking a host partner, not a venue — a city ready to grow with this event year over year.
