A USA BMX National Event is part of an annual 30-race National Championship Series spanning the US and Canada — the pinnacle of the sport, run by the American Bicycle Association (ABA), the world's largest BMX sanctioning body.

Events run Friday–Sunday and draw competitors from 30+ states and Canada, ranging from 2-year-old balance-bike riders to seniors in the 61+ class. Roughly one-third of National Events are Pro Series events, the most prestigious professional BMX race series in the world.

USA BMX is the world’s largest sanctioning body for the sport of bicycle motocross (BMX). United States operations are conducted under the brand USA BMX and Canadian operations are conducted under the brand BMX Canada both of which are operated by the parent organization, the American Bicycle Association (ABA).  USA BMX governs and sanctions more than 11,000 BMX races annually for 320 sanctioned bicycle motocross (BMX) tracks and more than 70,000 members across the United States and Canada.  USA BMX promotes BMX racing on several levels including local, district, state, regional, national and international.
