The US Collegiate Calisthenics Organization (USCCO) competitions bring together student-athletes from across the nation to showcase their strength, endurance, skill, and creativity in a structured and engaging format. The competition is divided into four main categories: Power, Sets & Reps, Statics, and Freestyle. In Power, athletes demonstrate maximum strength through weighted pull-ups and dips. Sets & Reps emphasizes endurance, with athletes completing as many clean repetitions as possible within a time limit. Statics highlight technical mastery through controlled holds such as the front lever, back lever, or planche. Freestyle allows athletes to combine dynamic skills, strength, and creativity into original routines scored on difficulty, execution, and flow.
In addition to the main competition, USCCO events include minigames that engage participants and spectators alike. These lighthearted challenges and interactive elements add a community-driven dimension to the event, ensuring an atmosphere that is both competitive and entertaining.
Each competition is designed to leave a lasting impact on its host campus. Central to this vision is the development of a permanent calisthenics park where none currently exists. This park serves as the competition venue and then remains as a lasting asset for students, athletes, and the community, encouraging year-round fitness, wellness, and engagement.
For host campuses and cities, a USCCO competition provides an opportunity to attract students, athletes, and visitors from across the country while offering a fresh, high-energy spectator experience. The event promotes community engagement, tourism, and visibility while aligning with a fast-growing sport at the collegiate level. Hosting a USCCO competition also means becoming part of the historic foundation of the first national collegiate calisthenics series in the United States, while simultaneously investing in a facility that benefits the campus and community for years to come.
