US Quadball Cup is USQ’s premier event and annual national championship. Featuring the top teams from across the nation, this two-day tournament is the pinnacle of the competitive season and the largest spectator event of the year. USQ Cup is perennially picked up by outlets like the Associated Press, USA Today, CBS Sunday Morning, and Bleacher Report, and it has the most traction among each of USQ’s varied fan bases.

Participants range from 1.3k-1.5k. Spectators range from 800-3k+

US Quadball Cup 2026

Quadball™ was founded in 2005 at Middlebury College by Xander Manshel and Alex Benepe. Looking for a variation on their normal Sunday activities, they gathered friends and laid the foundation for a game that has grown in leaps and bounds to become a widely respected, physically intense sport.

Inspired by the sport of Quidditch, Quadball is a mixed-gender contact sport with a unique mix of elements from rugby, dodgeball, and tag. A Quadball team is made up of seven athletes who play with brooms between their legs at all times. While the game can appear chaotic to the casual observer, once familiar with the basic rules, Quadball is an exciting sport to watch and even more exciting to play.
