Maine’s called Vacationland for a reason.  We’ve got pristine mountains and lakes, fields, forests and 3,500 miles of coastline. You can smell the salt sea in the air and see shooting stars above your head at night. Every corner of the state beckons you outside to enjoy its raw beauty, making Maine a haven for sports.

And for the pros, almost pros, not even close to pros and people who just like to cheer, the countless sporting events that take place here every year are a special treat. They’re a chance for everyone to enjoy, if even for a weekend, the special place we get to take in all year.

Plus with 4 seasons, Maine can host 4 times the types of events. Skiing to sailing, running to rafting, we can be the backdrop for it all. Mary's Walk began in 1999 as a way to honor Mary Kerry Libby, a much-loved member of the Saco-Biddeford community who passed away from Burkitt's Lymphoma. 28 years later, Mary’s Walk has raised over $4.6 million for Maine Cancer Foundation. Join us every March to celebrate community and raise money to fight cancer in Maine!

As Maine’s only professional club, we represent a people, place, and purpose. This club is a reflection of the diverse communities and cultures of Maine, from the Highlands to Downeast, Casco Bay to Acadia, Aroostook to the Forest City.

Hearts of Pine Home Opener

Flat and fast out and back four mile road race starting from the Falmouth Community Park. The event proceeds are donated to the Falmouth High School cross country and track teams.

The Kenduskeag Stream Canoe Race, held annually on the third weekend of April, is the largest paddling event in New England and one of the largest in the country! Hosted by the Bangor Department of Parks & Recreation, the 16.5 mile race begins in the Town of Kenduskeag and ends near the confluence of the Penobscot River in downtown Bangor.

Thomas College Dirty Dog Mud Run

Family Friendly Mud Run. The run is a 5k on the Thomas College Campus with 12-14 obstacles and as much Mud as we can offer.

Individual races, laps and fees are found on the main website.

1. Awards Ceremony will be at 11:00 am to be eligible for awards you must be registered and run in an awards eligible heat.  They are 9:00, 9:10. 9:20, 9:30, 9:40, 9:50, and 10:00 am.
2. Kids Race will be all new this year and will be for kids 10 and under.  Kids 8-10 can run either the full adult course or the kids course at parents discretion.
3. This year our Lap racers will leave at 8:30 AM and complete as many laps of our course as they can. The last lap cutoff will be 11:30 PM. Are you up for the challenge? Unique Awards Ceremony to end the day.

The PBA Roth/Holman Doubles Championship is coming to Bayside Bowl in 2026, and we’re ready to crank up the lights, the crowd noise, and the atmosphere that makes Portland the most unforgettable stop on the tour.

The Portland 10 Miler welcomes participants for an exciting coastal tour of the city. This annual spring race features covers ten miles of Portland’s most recognizable roads and paths along Back Cove, Munjoy Hill and the Eastern Promenade.

Come enjoy the local landscape of the Moosehead Lake region with the Moosehead Marathon.  This challenging course offers a chance to run on unique back roads with incredible views throughout the town of Greenville with no shortage of hills to climb and descend. The event's mission is to host an impactful outdoor recreation event in early spring to build local camaraderie and awaken economic stimulus.
