The 2025 Credit Union 1 NJCAA Division I Football Championship will be broadcast nationwide on ESPNU on Wednesday, December 17, 2025 at 7 PM ET / 6 PM CT with the title game taking place at Bain-Schaeffer Buffalo Stadium on the campus of West Texas A&M University in Canyon, Texas. The stadium, which opened in 2019 and seats up to 12,000 with standing-room areas, has become known for its modern amenities—including an advanced video board system, full concourse circulation, and a turf designed to reduce impact injuries.
University President Walter V. Wendler expressed enthusiasm about hosting again, noting that the event supports the school’s mission of serving the region and will provide a strong economic boost to both Canyon and Amarillo. NJCAA leadership also praised the venue as an ideal setting for athletes, coaches, and spectators.
This year marks the eighth time the championship will air in primetime and the fourth year it will appear on an ESPN network. The finalists will be determined by playoff semifinals: No. 1 Hutchinson (KS) vs. No. 4 Northwest Mississippi on December 6 and No. 2 Iowa Western vs. No. 3 Tyler (TX) on December 5, both streamed on ESPN+. Last season’s championship was decided by a tight 28–23 finish, so fans are encouraged to secure tickets early.
