Amarillo will host the Miss Rodeo Texas Pageant for three consecutive years, from 2026 through 2028, organizers announced Tuesday. The 2026 pageant is set for June 16–20. The Embassy Suites Amarillo Downtown will serve as the site for the pageant events, and the Amarillo National Center will host the horsemanship competition. “Amarillo is the perfect backdrop for this pageant and the traditions it represents,” said Nikki Woodward, state director of Miss Rodeo Texas. “We are excited to bring contestants and supporters here and to showcase Texas rodeo culture on such a strong stage.”
Kashion Smith, executive director of Visit Amarillo, said the city is equally proud to be selected. “This is an incredible opportunity for Amarillo to welcome visitors from across the state and showcase the authentic Western heritage that defines our community,” Smith said. “The Miss Rodeo Texas Pageant is a natural fit for our city, and we are thrilled to host it.” The Miss Rodeo Texas Pageant is one of the state’s most recognized rodeo queen competitions, celebrating tradition, horsemanship and leadership.
