Paddles at the Plex – Spring 2024: Another Triumph in Pickleball Excellence

This past week & weekend, Paddles at the Plex unfolded at the Opelika Pickleball Facility, showcasing top-tier action in the heart of our community.

The event attracted 670 registered participants from 13 different states, including as far as Alaska. Offering doubles, mixed doubles, and singles competitions, the tournament drew players from 20 different pickleball clubs and garnered support from 15 sponsors.

The facility has two state-of-the-art pickleball pavilions. Each with 12 courts all individually fenced to regulation standards for tournament-style play, an open-air cover, and LED lighting.

Spanning from February 27th to March 3rd, the event buzzed with excitement, complemented by the presence of food trucks onsite, creating a vibrant atmosphere for players and spectators alike.
