The 2026 Prospect Wire All American Weekend Has Arrived
All American Weekend Arrives in Knoxville, TN
After months of planning, scouting, roster building and preparation, the 2026 Prospect Wire All American Weekend has finally arrived.
The event officially begins in just over 48 hours with our Welcome Party at Covenant Health Park in Knoxville, Tennessee, home of the Knoxville Smokies, the Double-A affiliate of the Chicago Cubs. From there, the baseball portion of the event will take place Friday through Sunday at the University of Tennessee, featuring workouts, games, player challenges and team activities.
This year’s All American Weekend will feature the largest field of players in the event’s history, with 85 players selected to compete in Knoxville.
Since its launch in 2017, the Prospect Wire All American Weekend has grown into one of the most important events on our calendar. It gives selected players the opportunity to compete in a high-level environment, represent the Prospect Wire brand and take part in an experience built around exposure, competition and development.
The process for this year’s event started last fall, as our staff began identifying players across our event schedule. With major assistance from Alex Michaud, our lead scout at events, the evaluation process continued throughout the spring before invitations began going out in March.

The weekend schedule includes a full slate of activities. Thursday night will bring players, families and staff together at Covenant Health Park for the Welcome Party. On Friday, players will go through workouts, including the 60-yard dash, INF/OF work, batting practice and the first round of games. Saturday will feature additional batting practice, games and player challenges, before the event wraps up Sunday with final games, photos and goodbyes.
Beyond the competition on the field, the event also creates a meaningful impact for the host destination. With 85 players, their families and Prospect Wire staff traveling into Knoxville for three or more days, the All American Weekend brings hotel room nights, restaurant traffic and additional visitor spending to the city.

For Prospect Wire, the All American Weekend also plays a major role in connecting our regular event schedule to long-term player exposure. Players selected for this event are identified through Prospect Wire tournaments, showcases and scouting coverage throughout the year, giving athletes another reason to compete at PW events and giving teams another opportunity to have their players seen.

Over the years, the All American Weekend has been hosted at premier college baseball destinations including UNLV, USF, Cal State Fullerton, Vanderbilt, TCU, Texas and now Tennessee.
As the 2026 event arrives in Knoxville, the planning for 2027 has already begun.
Prospect Wire has started the process of identifying the next host site, with strong interest from programs such as Virginia, Maryland, NC State, Clemson, Pepperdine and Utah. The goal is to have the 2027 location finalized later this fall, just in time to begin the selection process all over again.
For now, the focus shifts to Knoxville.
