Can you believe the Opelika Pickleball Facility has gone from using 72 balls per month to an incredible 1,000? That’s how much our community’s love for pickleball has grown in Opelika! This remarkable increase highlights the booming popularity of the sport and the vibrant community rallying around it.
The Opelika Sportsplex is now home to 24 dedicated pickleball courts, offering top-notch facilities for casual play and tournaments. The original 12-court pavilion, built in 2020, features a state-of-the-art design with an open-air cover that provides shade and protection from the elements. The brand-new Point Broadband Pickleball Facility, which opened in 2022, adds another 12 covered courts, all equipped with LED lighting and regulation standards.w
These facilities offer outstanding courts and provide players with access to bathrooms, showers, lockers, concessions, and auxiliary meeting spaces on-site at the Opelika Sportsplex.
Thanks to thorough research and player input, Opelika has become a leader in pickleball facility design. The Opelika Pickleball Club even coined the tagline, “We’ve Got You Covered,” celebrating the unique pavilion that ensures play continues regardless of weather.
