The Summer Classic Closes Out a Strong Summer on the Treasure Coast for PW Baseball

The Prospect Wire Summer Classic returns to the Treasure Coast this July, continuing a tradition that has quickly become a favorite for teams wrapping up their summer schedules.
Originally created in 2020, the Summer Classic holds a unique place in Prospect Wire history. The event began in Polk County as the first tournament Prospect Wire hosted after returning from the COVID shutdown, providing teams an opportunity to get back on the field. In 2021, the event moved to Fort Pierce and became the second week of competition on Florida’s Treasure Coast following the PW World Series.
Since then, the Summer Classic has steadily grown in popularity, averaging 34 teams annually and reaching a high of 51 teams in 2025, with participation increasing each year since 2022.
