Bliss Cafe

We’re a community of runners, hikers, bikers and ballplayers. We’re an outdoor playground, designed by Mother Nature, with class III and IV rapids running right through our downtown. A 52-mile bike trail runs along the James. The Richmond Marathon and Ukrop’s 10k are huge celebrations, and the whole region comes out to cheer on our local teams. In fact, we’re so sports-minded that the Washington Redskins have their training camp right in the center of the city. Thirsty’s offers its Cajun-inspired fare for take-out, including daily specials that pair food with adult beverages for one low price. Beer, wine and cocktails are also available for pick-up. Owner Keyan Herron says that delivery may become an option soon.

Christian Sisters Catering Services

There are three entrances off of Riverside Drive for this section of the James River Park System. The 42nd Street entrance has parking for 30 cars. There is a trail along a river channel and river access over several small islands. The park system’s headquarters is located at the nearby Reedy Creek takeout with parking for 15-20 cars. The 22nd Street parking lot has spaces for about 45 cars. There is a mountain bike trail that links the main trail by the headquarters to the Buttermilk Trail on the hillside above.
