From the award-winning Southwest University Triple-A baseball stadium to a 92-acre sports complex, El Paso is making incredible strides.

Home to the El Paso Chihuahuas Triple-A baseball and El Paso Locomotive FC USL Club, Southwest University Park has also been used for other sporting events such as the Michelob Ultra El Paso Marathon, ESPN Sports Expo, A\&A All the Way Charity Softball game, Jennifer Han Title Night at the Ballpark (boxing), and Club Leon vs. FC Juarez (soccer).

The El Paso Sports Commission, a private non-profit organization since 2003, works with top regional, national and international organizers to bring in some of the highest quality, world-class sporting events to the El Paso area through hard work, strategic marketing, financial guidance and event promotion.

The Commission also oversees several venues, including the El Paso County Coliseum, which hosts between 125 and 150 performances a year, which includes a variety of concerts, festivals, sports competitions and other events.

Earlier this year, May 2025,  SAC II proudly hosted the Region 19 Female Flag Football Pilot and Championship. Sponsored by the Dallas Cowboys, Houston Texans, Zebra Sports, and the El Paso Sports Commission, the initiative was created to promote female participation in athletics and expand competitive opportunities in one of the fastest-growing sports in the country. 

In the past, we have hosted and sponsored a wide variety of sporting events that have brought in national recognition and substantial sports tourism dollars into the Sun City by way of hotel rooms, rental cars, restaurants, shopping and entertainment. Some major events include the United States Bowling Congress Women’s and Open Bowling Championships, the Senior Softball USA Texas State Championships, the Conference USA Basketball Championships and the Texas Hispanic Softball Championships, as well as football, running, volleyball, biking and boxing competitions, and a variety of other events and tournaments.

Check Day (last day to change weight without fee) is the Wednesday before the event.

Merging of uncontested divisions will happen the Wednesday before the event.

You have up to one hour to weigh-in prior to the start of your division. Please update and check Smoothcomp as times may change based on bracket restructuring or how fast/slow the competition is going.

## SPECTATOR FEE:

All spectators over the age of 12 years old must have a spectator pass.  Passes may be purchased at the door upon entry of the venue.

* Spectator fee: $20.

**Each academy will receive at least 1 free coaches pass. The amount of free passes depends on how many students from that academy are registered for the event. At least 1 free pass per 5 students will be available. Coaches do not need to message in before the event.**

FUJI BJJ El Paso Fall Championship

The FUJI Jiu-Jitsu Championships is a nation-wide tournament series. FUJI BJJ was founded by Royler Gracie Black Belt and Pan American Champion, JW Wright. JW has been hosting jiu-jitsu events for over 15 years throughout the Midwest. 

FUJI BJJ currently has ten regions throughout the United States and we are partnered with some of the best competitors and academies around!
