2026 Southeast Championships Return to the Palm Beaches this May/June

One of the most established events in the Prospect Wire calendar returns this summer as teams from across the region travel to South Florida for the Southeast Championships.

West Florida Wins 2025 NCAA DII Men’s Golf Title in The Palm Beaches

The 2025 NCAA Division II Men’s Golf National Championship concluded in dramatic fashion at PGA National Resort in Palm Beach Gardens, with the University of West Florida capturing its third national title in program history via a playoff. The event, held May 19-23, was co-hosted by the Palm Beach County Sports Commission and Palm Beach Atlantic University.

Real Madrid, Manchester City to Train in The Palm Beaches, FL Ahead of 2025 FIFA Club World Cup

The top two club soccer teams in the world will begin their road to a FIFA Club World Cup title in The Palm Beaches. Real Madrid and Manchester City—ranked first and second respectively in UEFA’s men’s club standings—are set to train in The Palm Beaches this summer before match play begins for the 2025 FIFA Club World Cup in North America. Real Madrid will utilize Gardens North County District Park in Palm Beach Gardens while Manchester City will train at Lynn University in Boca Raton.  These FIFA Club World Cup Team Base Camps will bring the FIFA Club World Cup directly to The Palm Beaches. The team practices will not be open to the public.

Palm Beach County Sports Hall of Fame Presented by Baptist Health Announces 2025 Induction Class

The Palm Beach County Sports Commission is proud to unveil the seven incoming members who will join the Palm Beach County Sports Hall of Fame presented by Baptist Health. The induction ceremony will be held March 16, 2025 at the Palm Beach Kennel Club in West Palm Beach.

TGL Presented by SoFi and ESPN Announce Inaugural Season Schedule Featuring 6 Teams of PGA Tour Stars

TGL presented by SoFi, the new tech-infused, team golf league founded by Tiger Woods and Rory McIlroy’s TMRW Sports in partnership with the PGA TOUR, today announced its inaugural season schedule, premiering Tuesday, Jan. 7 on ESPN and ESPN+. The schedule includes 15 regular season matches, then a four-team Semifinals, before culminating with the top two teams competing to win the SoFi Cup in a best-of-three Finals Series on Monday, March 24, and Tuesday, March 25.

America’s Military Academies to Compete for the Commander-in-Chief’s Cup in The Palm Beaches

The Palm Beach County Sports Commission is supporting the Service Academies Golf Foundation in hosting the second edition of The Commander-in-Chief’s Cup. On October 12–15, 2024, three of the nation’s most respected collegiate institutions will send their service academy golf teams to compete against each other in The Palm Beaches. These institutions, which include the United States Military Academy, United States Naval Academy, and United States Air Force Academy, will contend for The Commander-in-Chief’s Cup at the historic Seminole Golf Club in Juno Beach.

African American Golf Expo and Forum Chooses The Palm Beaches, Florida’s Golf Capital, for Fourth Annual Event
