Acoustic Blues Guitarist Phil Dollard

Join us for a concert at the library featuring acoustic blues guitarist Phil Dollard! Hear some of his original songs as well as covers from the 1930's through the folk/rock revival of the 1960's and beyond.

More about the musician: Phil is an acoustic, blues-based guitarist who has been performing in clubs and coffeehouses for years. He writes original songs but also covers artists from the 1930's through the folk/rock revival of the 1960's and beyond. Suitable for the roadhouse or the coffeehouse, influences range from Big Bill Broonzy to Hoagy Carmichael, Piedmont finger-picking of Rev. Gary Davis and Blind Willie McTell to the Delta style slide of Mississippi Fred McDowell and Robert Johnson. Phil has recorded three CDs: "The Whirligig of Time" from 2008, "Somewhere South of the Moon" from 2017, and, most recently, "Suitcase Blues" in late 2025 available on iTunes, Amazon, and most streaming platforms.
