Rock & Roll from the Beginning Featuring Kit Nelson

Join us for a unique presentation about rock and roll by Kit Nelson! Kit will share how he, and others like him, learned to play rock and roll music in an era with no formal instruction. Kit will also perform lots of hits and talk about what it was like to be part of the first wave of young musicians shaping a brand new sound. There was no sheet music, no YouTube tutorials, no tablature diagrams. The guitar teachers at the downtown music shops had never even heard of what they were trying to play, and on top of that, rock and roll was met with a wall of adult disapproval!
