We’re a community of runners, hikers, bikers and ballplayers. We’re an outdoor playground, designed by Mother Nature, with class III and IV rapids running right through our downtown. ​A custom animation rig mounted on the ceiling holds a figure suspended in perpetual free fall. A state between weightlessness and collision. A central animated figure speaks directly to a floor-mounted stereoscopic camera, delivering an intimate monologue that navigates the threshold where physical mass is translated into data.  
  
​Through filtered light, malleable skins, and low-fi mechanics, Mckenzie resists the myth of the weightless virtual. The work lingers in the heat of archival depositories, asking what language, trapped memory speaks and what slips away when living forms are held in static preservation.
