Marathon Mountain Bike National Championship head to Chewacla State Park in Auburn, AL on June 15. Athletes will experience a diverse set of trails as the course is developed on over 30 miles of trails including sections of the 1988 NORBA Nationals course. “The Auburn-Opelika community is committed to growing the sport of mountain biking and cycling in general. Hundreds of volunteer hours and hundreds of thousands of dollars have been invested over the last decade into building trails and cultivating resources for those who enjoy cycling. The opportunity to bring the USA Cycling Marathon Mountain Bike National Championships to the area is tremendous, and we are thrilled to be able to introduce the spirit of Auburn-Opelika to the participants and their families,” said Robyn Bridges, President & CEO, Auburn-Opelika Tourism.
