Join us for the Moon Golf Junior All-Star, presented Auburn-Opelika Tourism, from July 3-6, at the stunning Robert Trent Jones Trail in Opelika, Al. This tournament offers players in the field to showcase their skills at the Grand National Lake Course. 

he host hotel for the event is the Marriott Resort Auburn-Opelika Grand National, offering a special AJGA rate of $159 per night. To book, call (334) 741-9292 and identify yourself as an AJGA Participant. The cutoff date for reservations is June 12, 2024.

For transportation, the nearest airport is the Auburn Opelika Regional Airport (AUO), with preferred rental rates available through Avis and Budget. Practice rounds will be held on July 1, 2024, from 11:40 a.m. to 3:10 p.m. at the RTJ Golf Trail at Grand National – Lakes Course. Player registration is mandatory and will take place on the same day from 10:40 a.m. to 2:40 p.m. A parents meeting will follow at 4:00 p.m. in the dining room at the golf course.

The tournament schedule includes the first round on July 3, the second round on July 4, and the final round on July 5, with tee times from 7:00 a.m. to 9:00 a.m. each day. A social activity is planned for July 2, 2024, from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at the golf course.

Additional amenities include practice facilities open until 6:00 p.m., the use of the Golf Genius app for scoring, and Junior Plus Member Swing Videos through FlightScope. Participants can also purchase official yardage books and greens guides from StrackaLine at a discount and borrow push carts provided by Bag Boy on a first-come, first-serve basis.

Moon Golf Junior All-Star Presented by Auburn-Opelika Tourism 

The American Junior Golf Association is a 501(c)(3) non-profit association dedicated to the overall growth of young men and women who aspire to earn college golf scholarships.  With over 10,000 members ages 12-19 from 50 states and 60 foreign countries, the AJGA will conduct over 250 championships this year from January to December.  Each year AJGA seniors secure more than $26 million dollars in athletic and academic scholarships from participating in the AJGA. Through initiatives like the Liberty National Achieving Competitive Excellence (ACE) Grant, a financial assistance program, and Leadership Links, a service-oriented platform that teaches juniors charitable-giving skills, the AJGA fosters the growth of golf’s next generation. AJGA is open to explore new opportunities domestically and internationally. At this time, there is a strong priority to bring new events to the Western Region.
