Dexter-Huron Metropark is a heavily wooded 122-acre park with picnicking facilities along the Huron River.

Get out into nature and experience the rich ecosystems along the Huron River. The dense woodlands, open fields and gently flowing waters are home to a variety of unique plants and animals. Spend the day picnicking, biking, fishing, paddling the Huron River or enjoying the labyrinth.

Play equipment, fishing, restrooms and baseball diamond. Three picnic shelters are available and can be reserved. Metropark vehicle entry permit required.

This club in Chelsea, Michigan has one of the oldest golf courses in the state. The course is 9 holes and features a practice green, driving range, clubhouse, and tennis court for all your needs.

The Inverness Country Club Clubhouse is a perfect facility for business, birthdays, graduation parties, anniversaries, small weddings and so much more. Our Clubhouse has capacity for 100 guests with a full service kitchen for you or a hired caterer to prepare a meal for your event. There is plenty of lawn space out front for games, tents, additional seating, bouncey houses, etc

Inverness Country Club

Community Park is located on Ryan Drive and is open to the public. The park contains a paved walking/biking path, gazebo, benches, playground, and basketball court.

Historic Webster Village is composed of seven historic buildings and is located at 5583 Webster Church Road in Webster Township just outside of Dexter, Michigan. It is owned and maintained by the Webster Township Historical Society. Donations and membership dues provide the funds for maintaining these historic buildings.

Through years of tireless and selfless effort on the part of many individuals and organizations, Historic Webster Village is preserved in a state much as it was in the late 1800s. This Village gives one a sense of strong and steadfast life values and an abundant measure of community pride all nurtured in tranquility. It is truly a treasure to be enjoyed!

- Our grounds are often used by groups of fresh-air painters, for festivals, flea markets and bazaars, as a back-drop for graduation photos, or as a site for holiday greeting card photos.
- Podunk School, a one-room, award winning structure, would be the perfect place for school children to visit and sped a day in the late 1800s.
- The Old Town Hall would be an ideal site in which a Civics class could hold a “township meeting” as in days gone by.
- May’s Old North Barn can be rented for square or contra dancing. With it’s sky blue ceiling and electric lighting, a farm market or family reunion could be held inside.
- Our Crossroads Community Center is the perfect place for classes/workshops, birthday or anniversary parties, wedding or baby showers, and much more.

Located along the B2B Trail in Dexter-Huron Metropark, the Title IX Plaza is a joint project between WCPARC and HWPI. This project honors the impact of Title IX legislation on women’s sports in southeast Michigan.

The site, which is approximately 60’ X 90 feet in size, lies 275 feet west of the Huron River and immediately south of this B2B Trail segment traversing an oxbow in the river. A mature oak grove establishes the project boundary on the south and east of the site, while a tall grass prairie defines the western edge.

Social Vines is a new vineyard and winery located between Dexter and Ann Arbor, set on a 70-acre farm spread from Dexter Ann Arbor Road to the Huron River.

They planted 7 varietals of grapes in 2022, and have our 2023 Vintage available now!

Acquired by Scio Township in 2012, Sloan Preserve boasts 50 acres of wetland, upland forest, and grassland ecosystems. The winding 1.5 mile trail system brings visitors from the parking lot down to serene frontage along Mill Creek, making Sloan Preserve a popular fly fishing destination.

Sloan Preserve

A large wetland complex ('Trinkle Marsh') is a premier spot for watching waterfowl. Every spring and fall, dozens of species of birds, including ducks, shorebirds, herons, cranes, and more, stop on their migration journey. Additionally, many other species use the preserve as their summer home for nesting and raising young birds. Two convenient boardwalks and overlooks take you to the water’s edge getting you close to wildlife.

Other features of the preserve include a scenic woodlot adjacent to the marsh. Another wetland complex is situated in the northern portion of the preserve. Portions of the property remain as active farmland, as it has been for well over 100 years.
