Woolley Trail Runs are a 50k, Marathon, and Half Marathon located in Sedro Woolley Washington. All three runs are out and back with a few road crossings. Participants will heed traffic while crossing all roads, there will be NO crossing guards. As with all NW Ultra events these are meant to be fun runs with limited aid. Any diversion from the trail will be marked as well as all turnaround points. All three courses are out and back on railroad grade gravel path. The course has a slight (unnoticeable) uphill grade on the way out, with of course the same downhill grade on the return. There will be an aid station at each of the turnaround points (6.6 miles, 13.15 miles, 15.7 miles) and mile 4. Plan on carrying water and aid.  This is not a USATF certified course and you can’t qualify for Boston, but it is at least the advertised distance.

**COURSE INFORMATION:**
The course starts a quarter of a mile west of the trail head off Fruitdale Rd & SR 20. It continues east along the Cascade Trail. For a full map of the Cascade Trail please visit the Skagit County Parks & Recreation’s website [here](https://www.skagitcounty.net/GIS/Documents/Parks/cas-trail.pdf).

**DROP BAGS:**
Drop bags can be dropped off at the start the morning of the race.  Drop bags will be allowed at all aid stations.  Please mark on your drop bags your bib #, which aid station it goes to (mile marker) and your name.  They will not be returned until after the last runner has left each aid station, or participants may drive out to retrieve their bags.  If participants do not retrieve their drop bags they will be donated, we will not mail them to you.

**START TIMES:**
The **official start time is 9:00 am**.  All runners starting at the official time will be eligible for awards. 
The **early start time is 8:00**.  Runners opting to start early will not be eligible for awards.  Runners starting early are doing so because they expect to finish after the course closure time, if they start at the official time.
Minimum finish times will be given to all early start runners running faster the following times.  If you plan on running faster than these times you need to start at 9:00 am! 
**1/2 Marathon – 2:30 minimum time** 
**Marathon – 5:00 minimum time** 
**50k – 6:00 minimum time**

The United States Specialty Sports Association (USSSA) is a volunteer, sports governing body and a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization based in Viera, Florida. Originally USSSA stood for United States Slowpitch Softball Association. 

However, in 1998, USSSA rebranded the name to United States Specialty Sports Association, because it expanded into other sports, including youth girls fastpitch, boys baseball, youth basketball, martial arts and more. USSSA governs 13 sports across the US, Puerto Rico, various US Military bases and Canada, and has a membership of over 3.7 million.

FP-2027 Octoberfest is a youth fastpitch softball tournament hosted by USA Softball of Seattle in Everett, Washington, on October 10–11, 2026. The event director is Jim Donner, and divisions are offered for 18O, 16A, 16B, 14A, 14B, 12A/B, and 10O teams. Each division lists a four-game minimum, with registration or waitlist availability depending on the division.

Formerly the Amateur Softball Association (ASA), USA Softball has many important responsibilities as the National Governing Body of softball in the United States, including regulating competition to ensure fairness and equal opportunity to the millions of players who play the sport.

Responsible for training, equipping and promoting the six USA Softball National Teams that compete in events such as the Olympic Games, Pan American Games, World Championships and other international and domestic events.

USA Softball provides people of all ages the opportunity to play the game they love at a variety of levels, including recreational, league, tournament and National Championship play for fast pitch, slow pitch and modified pitch. All games will be played at Skagit Playfields in Mount Vernon. Turf infield, grass outfield. Skagit Parks and Rec mandates no spikes!

**Games:**

This will be a 4GG tournament, with each division playing 2 pool play games. Teams from each pool will play in bracket play, with others playing a consolation game. Seeding will be determined, in order, by Record, Runs Allowed, Run Differential, and Runs Scored. We will use Top Tier seeding rules beyond that if needed.

**Roster:**

Following registration, your team point of contact will receive a link to our form to provide team and player info, including roster and birthdates. This information will be private and not shared with anyone, solely used for validation if roster or player age is challenged.

Our friends had so much fun last year we want to do it again for the Chamber! Check-in will open at 5 pm starting time is 6 pm. Join us for a spooky adventure through the trails at the Northern State Rec area. We'll go around the barns and buildings.
It is in the evening on the trail, there will be hazards and yes it will be spooky, so keep that in mind when bringing children and dogs. Dress accordingly

Scarin' Up Some Fun 5k Glow Run/Walk

The Cascade Trail is a 22.5-mile multi-use trail connecting Sedro-Woolley and Concrete, running alongside State Route 20. The trail features a crushed rock surface and is open year-round. Parking for vehicles and horse trailers is available at Fruitdale Road, SR 20, and Challenger Crossing trailheads, which also offer portable restrooms. Along the route, visitors can relax and enjoy views of the Skagit River from ten benches provided through the Boy Scouts of America Eagle Scout program. Trail access is located at 24700 SR 20, Sedro-Woolley.
