Midland College

Midland College is a public college in Midland, Texas. It was established as an independent junior college in 1972 and held its first classes on campus in 1975.

The Midland College athletic facilities include Al G. Langford Chaparral Center, Christensen Stadium, Lady Chaps Softball Field, the physical education building, and the MC tennis center.

Al G. Langford Chapparal Center

Located on Midland College's main campus, the Al G. Langford Chaparral Center is a multipurpose facility with a seating capacity of 5,500. It is one of the busiest venues in West Texas and hosts a diverse array of events.

The facility is the home of Midland College Volleyball and Basketball, as well as Midland ISD Basketball teams. Each year, it hosts graduation ceremonies for both Midland College and area high schools.

MC Tennis Center

The MC Tennis Center is a public tennis and pickleball facility managed by the Midland College Tennis Association, Inc. The facilities' 14 tennis courts and 12 pickleball courts were renovated during the summer of 2025 thanks to generous donations from community members. Currently, four tennis courts are equipped with LED lights for evening and morning play.

The facility is open to the Midland community - the general public, community groups such as the MC Junior Tennis Academy and schools such as Midland Christian. It is also a host location for tournaments.
