There are two 18-hole championship golf courses available at the Bay Club in Berlin, which is conveniently situated just a few miles outside of Ocean City. Both the East and West Courses are routed through mature woodlands and incorporate 426 acres of lakes and wetlands, both man-made and natural. The East Course was the second course at the club, added in 1999. Measuring just over 7,000 yards, it is the longer of the two golf courses but only by about 50 yards. While the original West Course may be famous for its signature island green hole, dubbed "Devil's Island," the East also boasts an island green. The "Paradise Island" green may not be as dramatic but it is certainly still a challenge. The golf course is also known for being one of the only courses in the area to feature tour-quality Zoysia grass fairways.
