Castaic Lake

Castaic Lake is a 9,000-acre recreation park that features many favorite water and outdoor activities such as fishing, boating, jet skiing, kayak rentals, swimming and mountain biking. There are over 7 miles of trails. Scenic equestrian trails Trails for all levels, novice through experienced Single track trails to challenge the most experienced riders Several special events are held on the trails, including 'pro' mountain bike races The lower lagoon is 3 miles in circumference

The special event areas accommodate anywhere from 150 to 500 people at the large locations, and 50 to 75 people in the small locations. There are 4 large areas and 7 small picnic areas available for families or small groups. Most sites contain shade providing awnings & trees, grass, picnic tables and barbeques. Also, most sites are parking lot accessible, as well as a short distance from the shoreline of the West Side Lagoon."
