National Women's Martial Arts Federation Annual Conference 2027+

Thank you to everyone who has reached out to us, but we will no longer be able to accept proposal for 2026 Conference. We are open to hearing bids for 2027 and beyond moving forward.

The NWMAF was founded in the 1970s to provide support, training, networking, and leadership opportunities to women and girls in the martial arts.

Today’s NWMAF is committed to providing those same opportunities to women, youth, transgender and nonbinary people who have so often been marginalized in the martial arts world. We have expanded our focus to include three main pillars: Martial Arts, Empowerment self defense (ESD) and Healing Arts. Through advocacy and education, we aim to create community, and to promote personal and collective growth, strength, safety, and well being

The NWMAF’s signature annual conference is an intensive, deeply impactful training event bringing together women, youth, transgender and nonbinary martial artists, healing arts practitioners, empowerment self-defense students and teachers from all over the world. We offer a full schedule of classes and workshops, featuring exceptional (fully vetted) instructors from a broad range of styles and arts. It’s an extraordinary opportunity to make new friends, learn new things, and share skills, knowledge and strength

We prefer that the venue must be available for a Wednesday through Sunday night sometime between late-June and mid July. Participants will arrive on Wednesday morning and leave Monday morning, in most cases.
