Welcome to one of the most unique and intriguing golf courses you will ever play, not just in the Grand Rapids Area - but anywhere. Arrowhead's one-of-a-kind layout will challenge golfers of all skill levels. Arrowhead plays 6,188 yards from the back tees so it is accessible for any golfer, but don't let that fool you. The undulating greens and mischievous layout will offer a test for any golfer. Over the years Arrowhead has humbled many unsuspecting golfers who have written it off as child's play. Holes 11 and 18 are two of the toughest in all of Grand Rapids, Michigan.

Nonprofit coffee shop offers meaningful employment to people with intellectual disabilities. Liam’s Be Café serves coffee and tea drinks, hot chocolate and baked goods, and is named after Lowell resident Liam Doyle, who worked as a Barista at the Brody’s Be Café in Ada before this store was opened in 2024. Open Mon-Fri; hours vary by season.

Flat River Grill is a neighborhood restaurant located in the heart of downtown Lowell and is comprised of two unique spaces–the dining room, housed within the first floor of the Bergin building (est. 1931), and a four-season patio, which is situated alongside the Flat River and the historic Lowell Showboat.

We serve wood-fired feasts with an emphasis on classic American cuisine. The menu is highlighted by line-caught fish, grass-fed beef, wood-fired pizza, and an impressive variety of wood-grilled burgers. The space is comfortable, the service is warm, and the people are like family. A special bond exists between our staff and the Lowell community. Patrons often choose to share milestone events like birthdays, anniversaries, proms and celebrations with us. We're not ashamed to admit that our Instagram feed can resemble a family scrapbook from time to time. Hop Hog Lowell

The annual Franciscan Rhythms 5K Trail Run & Walk benefiting our music therapy program and land restoration efforts will take place Saturday, Oct. 3.  
  
The all-ages and all-fitness levels 5K will give participants an opportunity to “Run with Nuns” and experience a variety of restorative projects on a scenic path through our Lowell campus, 11650 Downes St. NE.  
  
As race participants enjoy the course, they will be surrounded by deciduous woodland, pine forest and a restored prairie that contains all native plants. Visitors have spotted many beautiful birds, insects and woodland animals on the land – even an adventurous beaver!

Traverse the scenic landscapes of Michigan's second-largest city as you race towards triumph amidst the community's cheers.

The 2026 Thunderfest Wheelchair Rugby Tournament, presented by Fusion Medical, is a Grand Rapids Thunder home tournament taking place October 24–25, 2026, at MSA Fieldhouse in Grand Rapids, Michigan. This six-team Division II–III wheelchair rugby competition welcomes athletes, coaches, volunteers, and officials, with lunch and a tournament T-shirt provided to participants. Tournament schedules will be emailed after rosters are received, with roster submissions due October 13.

Special Olympics North America Women's 3x3 Unified Basketball Tournament

The mission of Special Olympics Michigan is to provide year-round sports training and athletic competition for children and adults with intellectual disabilities.

Athletes develop physical fitness, demonstrate courage and experience joy while participating in the sharing of gifts, skills and friendship among their families, Special Olympics athletes and the community. The athletes achieve their dreams with the support of caring volunteers, coaches, family members and staff. Donations from Michigan citizens and businesses provide funding for the program.
