Proud to be from Ypsi, this group wants their beer to showcase what it means to be from such a great place. The Ypsilanti Freighthouse is a city-owned structure managed by the City of Ypsilanti, and formerly managed by the Friends of the Ypsilanti Freighthouse (FOYF). The Freighthouse can be rented out as a venue space for weddings, community events, and other occasions. Rentals include use of facility tables, chairs, and access to more resources depending on your preferred rental package.

Riverside is a 16 acre park on the Huron River in the center of Ypsilanti, linking downtown and Depot Town. It is the home to various events. Between these events, it hosts activities such as bicycling, dog walking, picnicking, fishing, and sunbathing. The park is part of the Washtenaw County Border to Border Trail as well as part of the Huron River Water Trail.

A universal design play structure was installed in December 2018, in honor of local leader, Liz Dahl MacGregor. Parking is available on the north end of the park, off Cross Street, just west of the river from 7am to 8pm; parking is also available to the south of the park, accessed via an alley just west of 6 W Michigan.

The Michigan Firehouse Museum and Education Center's mission is to enhance the appreciation of firefighting history through engaging and informative exhibits, as well as teaching and promoting fire safety and prevention. Encompassing over 26,000 square feet, the Museum is an educational treasure trove that includes an original 1898 firehouse and modern, multilevel exhibit display area. Walking through the restored firehouse, visitors can view a fire engine steamer replete with horses, ready to go on their way to a fire. The large, modern addition offers 25 changing exhibits of antique fire trucks and early fire rigs, multiple displays of historic artifacts including tools, equipment, memorabilia and the largest collection of fire truck bells in the country.

The 9th Annual 5K Domestic Violence Awareness Run/Walk is an in-person community event at Frog Island Park in Ypsilanti, Michigan, on Saturday, October 3, 2026, from 8:30 a.m. to noon. Participants can run or walk alongside friends and family while raising awareness and showing support for people affected by domestic violence. Sanctioned by USA Hockey, the event welcomes 10U, 12U, 14U, 16U and 18U teams at B, A and AA levels. Supporting local mental health charities, participants run through the vibrant streets of downtown Ann Arbor, then wind their way through the panoramic University of Michigan campus.
