We offer practical self-defense lessons called Krav Maga. At Spartan Krav Maga, we’re not a typical martial arts school. Our knowledgeable, skilled instructors give you a streamlined approach to Krav Maga focusing on practical and proven techniques. After one class you will see the difference for yourself, and over time it will transform you physically and mentally.

Spartan Krav Maga/Trainers Studio

The Michigan State University campus provides 3 intramural athletic facilities (Circle, East and West) offering sports surfaces of all kinds. The facilities are close to one another and numerous parking opportunities are available at all three sites. Spectator capacity varies depending on the sport, however; as the facilities are designed for student use, the overall space committed to spectator seating is minimal. This facility is handicapped accessible. This facility has one swimming pool. This facility is great for tournaments and special events.

IM Circle - MSU

Beal Botanical Gardens, founded in 1873, is the oldest continuously operated garden of this type in the United States. It includes over 5,000 species organized in economic, systematic, landscape and ecological groupings. The Beal Botanical Garden and Campus Arboretum’s mission is to illuminate the interconnectedness of people, plants, and place through learning, research, and stewardship. Mitten Raised Bakery

Beaumont Tower marks the site of Old College Hall-the first building in America erected for instruction in scientific agriculture. A gift from John W. Beaumont (class of 1882), the tower was dedicated in 1929 and renovated in 1996, making possible weekly carillon concerts throughout the year. Beneath the clock is a crisp Art Deco relief, "The Sower," by sculptor Lee Lawrie.

The carillon is played every Wednesday at noon for 30 minutes during the school year, with additional noon recitals subject to volunteer carillonist availability. Generally on the first Wednesday of October, November, December, February, March, and April, the tower is open to the public during the noon recital and guests can climb the 73 stairs to the playing cabin, which is behind the clocks, to observe the 6th University carillonneur, Jonathan Lehrer, play the 49-bell carillon. Several current and former carillon students assist in playing and schedule special tours.

Each July, the Muelder Carillon Series brings guest carillonneurs from around the world for a recital on Wednesdays at 6 p.m. You are invited to bring a picnic and sit outside and enjoy the beautiful music of the carillon.

The Local Epicurean

Use Fenner Nature Center for your next event. Plenty of outdoor spaces to host a great meeting or event for 300+ people Davis Nature Pavilion has a patio that can seat 50. Tables, chairs and set up are included in the rental price. Guests would have access to the building's private restrooms so long as they adhere to the capacity limits and safety precautions required at the time of their event. Maple Grove Pavilion, a small open air pavilion with 6 picnic tables. This is located a short walk from our main parking lot along a paved path. Guests would have access to the Visitor Center's restrooms during open hours. Tables and chairs, other than the picnic tables, are not included and would need to be brought in by the renter. This site does not have electricity. This site can comfortably fit 36 at the picnic tables, or if chairs are brought in, comfortably 50. Group Campground, a ~1 acre field with a small covered patio, firepit and private outhouse. This field is accessible from a private parking lot that holds approximately 30 cars. Tables, chairs and tents are not included and would need to be brought in by the renter. Tents and canopies larger than 10x10 require a permit with the City of Lansing. This site does not have electricity. This site can comfortably fit 150. Festival Field, a large open field to the east of the park entrance and north of our main parking lot. Guests would have access to the Visitor Center's restrooms during open hours. Tables, chairs and tents are not included and would need to be brought in by the renter. Tents and canopies larger than 10x10 require a permit with the City of Lansing. This site does not have electricity. This site can comfortably fit 300+. Welcomes inquiries from sports groups.

Fenner Nature Center

This interactive learning center appeals to both children and adults, making it ideal for families. It features a system of self-guided nature trails through woods and fields and around ponds, a visitor center with exhibits, gift shop and natural history library. Year-round staff-led tours and programs are offered, plus Summer Nature Camp, October Apple Butter Festival and March Maple Syrup Festival. The gift shop stocks a variety of nature and environmental items.

D'Nulffos Seafood & Chophouse

Located on Michigan State University campus, this facility provides a field for intramural sporting events. In 2014, a turf field named the Forest Akers Trust Practice Complex was added to these intramural fields as a home to the MSU Marching Band to use as their practice field. This facility is great for tournaments and special events and can accommodate soccer and lacrosse.
