The runners have spoken, and the Louisiana Half Marathon has been named the top half marathon in Louisiana. RaceRaves, the nation’s premier online race finder and reviews community for runners and endurance athletes, has announced the winners of its 2024 “Runners Choice: Best Half Marathons in the U.S.” poll. The top half marathon in each state was crowned based on nearly 20,000 votes from runners across the country along with finisher ratings and reviews on RaceRaves.com.

From April 10-14th, Baton Rouge hosted the Masters of Strength 5-day event, marking a significant milestone as the first of its kind for strength sports. The event brought in over 700 high-level competitors from across the country. From inspiring displays of powerlifting to feats of endurance, the event was an exhilarating showcase of strength and skill. For the first time, the renowned Savannah Bananas made their mark on college turf, selling out LSU’s esteemed baseball stadium from March 14-16, 2024. Baton Rouge is proud to host the 33rd Annual Cajun Classic Wheelchair Tennis Tournament at Lamar Tennis Center and Highland Community Park Tennis Center. This ITF Super Series and USTA event has drawn over 130 players from around 25 states and 22 countries. The tournament features 90 of the top professionals in the world including eight of the top 10 men’s professional players and nine of the top 10 women’s players. The tournament is one of four “Super Series” events in the world and the only one in the United States.
