Lights, camera… animate!

During this creative Kids’ Night Out, young filmmakers will dream up a story, design a set, and bring their ideas to life one frame at a time. Using stop-motion animation, FIA props, craft materials, and plenty of imagination, participants will create their own mini movie from beginning to end.

Kids will plan a simple scene, build their backdrop, position their characters, capture photos, and watch as their story comes to life on screen. Projects will be adapted to each child’s age and experience level, so no previous animation or filmmaking experience is required.

What’s Included
Create a Mini Movie
Young creators will develop a story and produce their own short stop-motion animation.

Build a Set
Participants can use FIA’s collection of props, building materials, and craft supplies to create the perfect movie scene.

Bring Your Own Star
Kids are welcome to bring a small item from home to feature in their film, such as an action figure, LEGO® creation, stuffed animal, or favorite toy.

Movie-Night Snacks
Pizza, a juice box, and popcorn are included to keep our filmmakers fueled throughout the evening.
