Celebrating over 15 years in 2021, the City of Dexter Farmers Market is excited to bring you fresh, locally grown food and made crafts. Taking place May through October, typical hours of operation are Saturday mornings and Tuesday afternoons.

Ranging in selection, Joe and Rosie have plenty of drinks to choose from. Delicious sandwiches, wraps, and paninis go great with any drink choice. They can always accommodate! Ask how to make something gluten-free or vegan, or ask about their non-dairy options too!

Monument Park is the City's .3-acre town center, where community celebrations such as Dexter Daze, Apple Daze, and the Paint Dexter Plein Air Festival are held. It has a gazebo for concerts and other cultural events, providing a community gathering place in the downtown district. In the winter, there is also an outdoor ice rink located within the park.

The park is dedicated to the memory of all of Dexter's fallen military personnel.

The Dexter Bakery is an independently-owned small-town bakery. Established in 1915, the Dexter Bakery is located in the heart of downtown Dexter. Enjoy delicious donuts, danishes, muffins, bagels, cookies, breads, cakes and much more!

Mill Creek Park on the north side of Main Street (formerly Warrior Creek Park) is a 2.15-acre park located behind the fire station and next to the Mill Creek, which flows northeast into the Huron River.

The ¼ mile pedestrian path leads visitors across the Mill Creek and through wetland habitat before exiting into the Westridge of Dexter neighborhood.

A wooden stairway was added to provide access from the park up the steep hillside to connect to the Dexter District Library and the Farmers Market.

The Pat & Paul Cousins Memorial Trail (formerly the Mill Creek Trail) is located adjacent to the Mill Creek tributary of the Huron River. The Trail runs through Mill Creek Park North and South, and continues south, connecting to Baker Road near Creekside Intermediate School.

Some segments of the Trail serve as primary pieces of the Washtenaw County Border to Border Trail, while other segments serve as spurs or feeder segments to the B2B.

In total, the Trail is over one mile long. The segment of the Trail from Forest Lawn Cemetery south to Baker Road is approximately 8/10ths of one mile.

The contest begins at Noon, with participant check-in at 11:45am.

The top three costumes will win a prize of Dexter-themed goodies.

Flat Water is a Big Bear Tournaments ice hockey tournament in Ann Arbor, Michigan, running October 2–4, 2026. Sanctioned by USA Hockey, the event welcomes 10U, 12U, 14U, 16U and 18U teams at B, A and AA levels. Each team is guaranteed four games, with the final game serving as a championship or consolation contest, and game periods vary by age division.

The 9th Annual 5K Domestic Violence Awareness Run/Walk is an in-person community event at Frog Island Park in Ypsilanti, Michigan, on Saturday, October 3, 2026, from 8:30 a.m. to noon. Participants can run or walk alongside friends and family while raising awareness and showing support for people affected by domestic violence. This approximately three-and-a-half-hour event offers a meaningful way for the community to come together in support of survivors.&#x20;

E-Race the Stigma with the Trinity Health Probility Ann Arbor Marathon! Supporting local mental health charities, participants run through the vibrant streets of downtown Ann Arbor, then wind their way through the panoramic University of Michigan campus. The marathon, half-marathon, and 10K courses also encompass stretches along the Huron River and Gallup Park and through Nichols Arboretum before returning to campus and downtown.

The 2026 Women in Sports: ElevateHER Summit, presented by Michigan Athletics, brings together student-athletes, alumni, community members, coaches and attendees for an evening focused on opportunity, leadership and the future of women in sports. Held October 15 at Crisler Center, the event features networking with current and former student-athletes and coaches beginning at 5:30 p.m., followed by a panel at 6 p.m. with Michigan alumnae and prominent sports-industry leaders including Andrea Joyce, Kate Johnson, Estee Portnoy, Casey E. Taylor and Li Li Leung. The summit offers storytelling, professional development, networking and mentorship.
